I woke up the next day, and realized that no one was coming.

I knew at that moment that it was going to be up to me to figure a way out. This is a picture of me when I was allowed home from the Mental Institution to visit my family for Christmas.

After failing many times, I finally did figure out a way to gain my freedom. And 11 months later, I returned home to my family. However, after being back home for only a month, another fire was set. I fought back, once again gained my freedom, and eventually proved my innocence. After many years of struggle and self development, thankfully our family was able to come together and heal. Along the way I learned three powerful lessons that became the source of My Greatest Strength: I realized that we don't have to play the role of the victim, but instead, we can choose to be the hero of our own story.

The first lesson is the power of love. My parents loved me the whole time. They sent me away out of love, they sent away the wrong kid, but even then, I knew they loved me.

Their love was like a life line through the whole experience. The second lesson is the power of forgiveness.

My brother has grown up to be a kind and caring husband and father, and he is one of my best friends. He was going through some rough times of his own growing up. Forgiveness gave us the space to heal.

And the third lesson is never, ever give up. I made the best decision of my life in marrying Daniele. I never would have been able to get to where I am today if I gave up on myself back then, or at any point during the healing process. These three lessons make up the core of the book, but there's is a lot more to it than that. WHY THIS BOOK We are proud and grateful to have thousands of successful students that we've coached and trained that are making real, sustainable progress towards their biggest goals, and collectively are making the world a better place.

But that's not enough. There are still so many people that are experiencing consistent emotional pain and suffering, however, the answers to our most pressing problems are just out of reach because we get so stuck in our own heads. Daniele and I have boiled down the answers and the methods, the strategies and the tactics that we've used time and time again, both with ourselves and countless clients over the past 8 years, and now we are putting them into our book that focuses on three areas of empowerment.

You will be guided through an easy to follow, step by step process that will help you decide what you want your life to look like starting now, and moving forward through the next 10 years, all in bite-sized, easy to process increments. We all make thousands of decisions every day, most of which are unconscious or automatic and don't serve our overall well being. Terri Savelle Foy.
